What your wedding makeup should look like!

So this week has been a long one. There was some paperwork I had to handle and as I stared at the stack in front of me, my mind began to wander to all the other things I would rather do. I am slightly a tomboy so what people don’t know about me is how much I love makeup and helping women know how to wear it. So as the stack of paper work sat menacingly on my desk, my thoughts wandered to the beautiful land of wedding makeup.

I have done the makeup for all of my siblings weddings and let me tell you, they looked beautiful. (Not bragging, just being confident.) The thing that most brides don’t realize is that you want to look fresh and glowing for your wedding, but still be yourself. You don’t want to look back at photos and see the neon color that surrounded your eyes and distracts from the happiness on your face.

I am not saying there is anything wrong with wanting a smokey eye, or doing a daring lip color, (my sister chose a smokey eye because she likes her makeup slightly darker) but I am going to give you an example of how it can be done while still giving you the bridal look.

Below is a picture I found online and fell in love with and decided to use as a template for my sister’s makeup on her wedding day. It is a great example of getting that dynamic eye without looking to heavy or made up on your wedding day.

Another look that I love is the fresh look. The other photo is the makeup I did. It is fresh and beautiful but still has the shimmer that gives it a little something extra for a wedding day.
